When this Dubai-based luxury fragrance brand came to Growthmak, they weren't starting from zero — they were starting from negative. Two previous agencies had set up accounts, launched campaigns, and moved on, leaving behind four duplicate Google Merchant Center accounts, a Meta Pixel installed multiple times, and campaign data that couldn't be trusted.

Growthmak's first action was not to launch a campaign. It was to audit everything.
The findings were significant: 4 separate GMC accounts registered to the same business — a policy violation that can result in a permanent ban. A Meta Pixel firing duplicate events and corrupting audience data. Attribution windows set incorrectly, making ROAS figures incomparable period-to-period. Business name, address, and product data mismatched across GMC, Google Ads, and the website.

The fix followed a deliberate sequence: all four GMC accounts consolidated into one, Meta Pixel reinstalled with correct event mapping, attribution windows standardised, and campaigns built from scratch on clean infrastructure. The engagement later expanded to include a full Shopify store rebuild.
Several months in, Google suspended the account due to historical violations from the duplicate account period.
